Thursday – Home Studio Basics Friday’s Schedule
Feb 12

The trip to MacWorld is always an adventure and this year is no different. To kick off the week, the Berklee team arrived early in San Francisco and took some time to visit the Apple campus in Cupertino.

Wednesday was setup day at the MacWorld Music Studio. Most of the day was spent unpacking and setting up all the computer and music gear at the booth. During the day, the team took some time to meet with other presenters in the show speakers lounge. While there, we met up with Bill Atkinson, a member of the original Macintosh development team and creator of MacPaint and Hypercard. A longtime nature photographer, Bill is now working on a iPhone application that sends high quality photos as postcards, both virtually and physically. Back at the booth, by the end of the day all of the gear was connected, arranged and tested, ready for the show.

MacWorld 2010 kicked off on Thursday with a session with David Pogue, who spent some time with the folks behind “Autotune the News” and special guest Levar Burton. At the MacWorld Music Studio, we jumped right in with sessions running back-to-back all day. From Home Studio Basics through Mac Guitar Solutions, the booth was standing room only all day. At the end of the day, Mike took some time to meet up with MacWorld for a video podcast, bringing them up to date on what’s happening at the MacWorld Music Studio Booth and a preview of his feature presentation “MacWorld presents: BT!”, scheduled for Saturday morning.
